San Diego State University 3rd Annual
Undergraduate Philosophy Conference
October 18-19, 2014

San Diego State University invites undergraduates to attend our third annual philosophy conference. The theme this year will be feminist philosophy and women in philosophy. Submissions will be accepted in all areas of feminist philosophy, regarding women philosophers, OR written by female undergraduates. Students submitting need only meet one of the listed areas. Although we encourage female students to submit a paper on the topic of feminist philosophy, it is not required. Participation in the conference is open to undergraduates of all majors.

Call for Papers

Submissions should be prepared for blind review and be approximately 3,000-4,000 words. Presentation length of paper should not exceed 30 minutes.

Deadline to submit: August 1, 2014

Students will be informed of their acceptance by September 1, 2014

Conference Proceedings

UPDATE: 7/28/14 Cambridge Scholars Publishing has offered to publish a book containing the proceedings of the conference at no charge to the author; each presentation/paper is meant to be a chapter of the book. There is a possibility presenters may have their work published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing provided that the submitted work is accepted by the publishers submission board.

If you would like to be considered to have your work submitted for publishing, please indicate this on the cover page of your conference submission. The conference organizers will pick the top papers to be submitted for publishing. If you have already submitted your paper, you need not submit a new cover page indicating your wishes regarding publishing. If and when you receive an acceptance email, we will ask you to state your wishes regarding publishing. We will do this for all students accepted (not only the ones who have already submitted), in the event that there are students that do not see this post in time, but if you can indicate this on your cover page please do.
